RoboBike quickly and accurately adjusts the workloads for you, reducing the risk of assessment error and letting you concentrate on the client’s physical responses to exercise to ensure a safe assessment. After you attach RoboBike to the Monark bike and connect it to the FAS-2 CTI unit, the HealthWizard Fitness Profile program will command the RoboBike to automatically change the workload as the program monitors the rider’s heart rate and bike RPM. By automating the Monark bike, the MicroFit RoboBike increases the accuracy and safety of your fitness assessments. Workload changes occur on time and are completed within 5 seconds. The Monark 828E Test Ergometer combines a completely housed flywheel design with a strengthened frame and a pendulum-calibrated brake system to create the worlds most widely used cycle for fitness testing. The Monark 828E Test Ergometer is the only test cycle approved by the U.S. Air Force and Federal Fire Departments. The Monark 828E is the successor of the Monark 818e, and it has a new, softer frame design and new electronics that show RPM, time, speed, distance, calories burned, watts, and Polar telemetry heart-rate readings. The Monark 828E features a simple mechanical design in which the braking force of a strap around the bike flywheel creates the workload. To change the workload, the user turns a screw knob that adjusts the strap tension. A weighted pendulum on the side of the bike indicates the current workload in Newtons or kiloponds.
