The life fitness pro 1 assisted chin/dip allows one to grade the amount of exertion required to complete a pull up or dip by altering the amount of counterforce weights. The ability to modify counter weight allows one to complete the exercise with accurate form,  and subtract counter weight as one gains strength & improves.
The weights allow for 10# incremental change. The movement mechanism is smooth and allows for differing hand positions -wide, close & inbetween, thus focusing on slightly different muscle recruitment.
